These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pulse Perks subscriber perks program (“the Service”). By subscribing via Instagram, you agree to these Terms and to follow any updates we may post.1. Who We Are
Preston Pulse is an independent city guide and discovery platform offering subscribers exclusive perks, discounts, and experiences at local venues such as restaurants, bars, cafés and more. Subscriptions and access are managed directly through Instagram.2. Subscription & Access
2.1 Instagram Subscriptions
You gain access to the perks program by subscribing via our official Instagram page using the built-in subscription feature.2.2 Verification
To redeem a perk, you may be asked to prove you are an active subscriber (e.g. by showing your Instagram subscription badge or profile page). It is your responsibility to ensure your subscription is active at the time of use.3. How Perks Work
3.1 Partner Venues
Each perk is provided by a participating venue (“Partner”), and is offered voluntarily by them. While we work hard to maintain accurate listings, each Partner is ultimately responsible for honouring their perk.3.2 Changes & Removals
Perks may change or be removed without notice, especially if a venue decides to leave the program. We aim to keep everything up-to-date on Instagram, but we can’t guarantee any specific perk will be available at any given time.3.3 Advance Bookings
If you make a booking at a venue with the intention of using a perk, and that perk is removed before your visit, the venue may not honour it. We recommend checking perk availability close to the time of your visit.3.4 Scope of Discount
Perks and discounts are intended for use by the individual subscriber only, unless otherwise stated. Some venues may, at their discretion, choose to extend the offer to the subscriber’s entire party or table, but this is not guaranteed and is at the venue’s sole discretion.4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:- Use the perks for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- Be respectful and fair when redeeming perks
- Not share or misrepresent your subscription status
- Accept that venues are offering perks voluntarily and misuse could result in your removal from the program5. Cancellations & Refunds
5.1 Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription anytime through Instagram. Perks will remain available until the end of your current billing period.5.2 Refunds
As access to the Service is digital and immediate, we do not offer refunds unless required by law. If you experience a problem with a perk or venue, please get in touch — we’re here to help.6. Service Limitations
We act as a connector between subscribers and venues. We’re not responsible for:- The service or experience at any venue
- Whether a perk is available at a specific time
- Platform issues (e.g. Instagram downtime or subscription errors)
- Any loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from use of the perksIf you have any issues, drop us a line at [email protected]. We’ll always do our best to resolve issues fairly where possible.7. Intellectual Property
All branding, content, and promotional materials shared via Instagram or other platforms remain the property of Preston Pulse. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or misrepresent this content without our permission.8. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time without notice. We recommend reviewing them periodically. Continued use of the Service means you accept any updated version.9. Governing Law

What is Pulse Perks?
Pulse Perks is a monthly membership that gives you exclusive access to discounts, freebies, and perks at some of Preston's best independent restaurants, cafés, bars, and more — all curated by Preston Pulse.How do I join?
Just head to the Preston Pulse Instagram and tap “Subscribe.” Once you’re done, you can show your server the 'Subscribed' button at participating venues to receive your perk.I don't use Instagram. Can I still join?
Unfortunately, Pulse Perks is currently offered exclusively through Instagram Subscriptions.What perks are included, and where can I use them?
We partner with a growing list of hand-picked local venues, each offering their own unique perk. You can see the full, up-to-date list here.Do the perks ever change?
Yes! We'll look to add fresh perks and new venues all the time! Venues may also change their perks from time to time. Keep an eye on the website and our socials where we'll announce any new additions or changes.I booked a table and then the perk was removed. What happens now?
We recommend checking the perks list as close to your booking as possible. If a perk is changed or removed after you've booked, the venue might not be able to honour it. Instagram Subscriptions doesn't support individual refunds, but you may be able to get a refund by contacting Apple or Google Play. If something went wrong or you feel let down by a venue, please drop us a line at [email protected] so we can investigate.Do I need to show anything to claim a perk?
Yes — you'll need to prove you’re an active subscriber. Just open the Instagram app, head to the Preston Pulse page, and show them the 'Subscribed' button. If your button says 'Subscribe' rather than 'Subscribed', it means you don't currently have an active subscription.I have an active subscription, but I don't see the 'Subscribed' button.
For any issues relating to your subscription status, please contact Instagram Support.I can't join and get an "Added to waiting list" error message. What shall I do?
This is a fairly common issue for iPhone users. To resolve it, please try the following:1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Screen Time.
3. Go to Content & Privacy Restrictions.
4. Go to iTunes and App Store Purchases.
6. Make sure in-app Purchases is set to 'Allow' and Require Password to 'Don't Require'.If you still can't subscribe after making these changes, please check the following support link.How do I suggest a venue or give feedback?
